Project User Focus Group
The Project User Focus Group will include individuals from across the university at all levels and who are intended users of the repository. It will provide a platform to gauge user expectations and acceptance, test development iterations and capture requirements.
Membership of the Project user Focus Group is to be established.
Early adopters and demonstrators
The Project will accomodate early adopters and demonstrators that are of ‘real-world’ relevance and value. These will provide demonstration materials for subsequent advocacy efforts, and provide a reference point for capturing user requirements and assessing user expectations.
Early adopters are,
- Research outputs of Project Steering Group members
- Research outputs submitted as part of RAE2008
- National Centre for eSocial Sciences (NCeSS)
- Welcome Trust Centre for Cell Matrix Research (WTCCMR)
- School of Computer Sciences technical reports
- Manchester Business School working papers
- Epidemiology Research Group
- Manchester University Press
Repository Support Network
The Institutional Repository Support network will facilitate the submission and management of scholarly works stored in the repository. This may include academic champions, Faculty based research support staff, support staff located in central university functions (e.g. Library staff, Research Office staff) and or individuals in a dedicated repository support team.
The roles and responsiblities of individuals in the Support Network need to be defined and agreed.
